What do you enjoy most about participating in #QBOchat each week?

The camaraderie of the group. Everyone is very welcoming. There is a spirit of sharing on the chat each week. I have already made some great friends.

How did you find out about #QBOchat?

A friend of mine participated and talked about how great it was, so I had to check it out for myself.

What do you do?

I work with my clients through their bookkeeping and advising to move them from a place of scarcity to one of abundance. My niche is nonprofits. Many ask what do you mean from a place of scarcity to abundance. In the nonprofit world we are used to doing without. A lack of resources, funding, staff, knowledge, whatever can seem overwhelming and daunting. I work to change the mindset and to solve the issues that are hindering them from getting what they need.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?

I know what my nonprofit clients need in their end reporting so I excel at setting up their books and customizing the software to give them what they want and need. I love when a client says, “you just took all my stress away. I feel that I know what to do now”. That is the best feeling.

What are you most passionate about professionally?

Nonprofit Accounting. I was a nonprofit employee for around 20 years before I started my business. I managed all the accounting for the nonnprofits I worked for and helped with fundraising, events, project management whatever (you wear many hats in a nonprofit). So I feel that I really understand them and their needs. I have an expertise that I love to share with them that helps them fulfill their missions.

What topics interest you that you connect with others about?

My secret love is cars and racing. I can talk cars all day long especially if you are talking racing. I don’t like to watch racing, I like to be behind the wheel! I have raced my car at Virginia International Raceway. It was an amazing experience that I won’t forget. My first date with my husband was at a Top Fuel drag racing event. I knew then we were made to be together.

What topic would you like to see in a future #QBOchat?

A focus on nonprofits, how they use QBO and the apps they can utilize. Nonprofits are big users of QBO. They have special needs just as many industries do. There are lots of great apps available to help them on QBO.

Author: QBOchat Admin

#QBOchat began in July 2013 with the simple idea to host a weekly Twitter conversation around QuickBooks Online (QBO). We have since grown into a very strong community comprised of a diverse group of users. Our weekly tweet chat is held each Thursday at 3:00PM Eastern. The discussions cover a wide range of topics including QBO’s latest features and updates, business operation tips and apps that integrate with QBO, to name just a few.
