What do you enjoy most about participating in #QBOchat each week?

You can’t beat the camaraderie, but I especially love the perspectives on many of the common hot topics. I think it is an amazing and generous effort on your part to host. Thank you!

How did you find out about #QBOchat?

I was visiting the TSheets headquarters in Eagle, ID to start on the development of their Pro Certification. Kelly and Kelsie said “Breaktime, have to get on the QBO Chat”. A Twitter chat was so foreign to me in August of 2014.

What do you do?

In no specific order, I have grown my practice as a consultant on QuickBooks since 1993, I manage a team who provides monthly bookkeeping and franchise services, I am a blogger on my website, a writer on Medium, I dabble in Social Media with my social media guru, I am an officer on my church’s Vestry (That is Episcopalian for Board of Directors), and I text, Facetime, Messenger and miss my three kids who live all over the country.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?

My strength is in being patient and putting education first. I’d rather teach my customers how to understand what they are doing rather than just fixing their problem. For my franchises, I want to be their “Go To” person so we can produce consistent and comparable outcomes. We strive for reducing variations on how they account for their day-to-day transactions.

What are you most passionate about professionally?

Innovation and automation of data management in my customer’s business operations. I love being involved with their goals and dreams and removing barriers when we see them on the path.

What topics interest you that you connect with others about?

Besides Apps? (Is there another topic out there? Kidding!) My family is a big part of my life. I bought a bike for my big birthday last year and I’m planning on racking up miles on bike paths all over Michigan. My youngest is getting married this year, my oldest next year and my middle sometime soon. Not a lot of room for hobbies 🙂

What topic would you like to see in a future #QBOchat?

More of the same! Apps, accountant’s struggles, products, showcasing solutions and futuristic concepts

Anything else you’d like us to know?

I’d love for people to follow my blog and get to know more about me. I believe the more we get to know each as members of our infamous tribe, the more we can enrich others as one force.

#QBOchat began in July 2013 with the simple idea to host a weekly Twitter conversation around QuickBooks Online (QBO). We have since grown into a very strong community comprised of a diverse group of users. Our weekly tweet chat is held each Thursday at 3:00PM Eastern. The discussions cover a wide range of topics including QBO’s latest features and updates, business operation tips and apps that integrate with QBO, to name just a few.
