What do you enjoy most about participating in the Build Your Best QBO Practice Facebook Group?
I love helping and learning from other colleagues. As a virtual provider and work at home mother, I don’t get to network through traditional methods so this group helps me feel connected to the accounting community.
How did you find out about QBOchat?
From reading Cathy’s profile on the Firm of the Future website.
What do you do?
I give small business owners peace of mind and empower them to make informed business decisions by providing accurate books and translating the data into plain English.
What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
I am best at taking a messy and outdated QBO file and unravel the mess, fix the errors, clean it up and catch it up into a tax-ready set of books to be proud of.
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I am passionate about educating and empowering freelancers and new entrepreneurs to take control of their business financial success; not only through my services but also through a book that I wrote to help dispel the mystery around bookkeeping and help get them started.
I am a big geek and love sci-fi (Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek) and Marvel/DC. As a homeschooling and work from home parent, I love connecting with other parents in similar situations.
What topic would you like to see in future Twitter chats, Facebook posts, or training?
I love the profiles on Apps and hope that those continue. It would be great to see information (tips, tricks, workarounds, apps, etc) about how to best use QBO in specific industries (ie. job costing for construction or escrow tracking for real estate)
Anything else you’d like us to know?
Keep up the good work. I enjoy the coffee chats. Before your group, I was intimidated by Twitter (still kinda am but it’s getting better), I am unable to make the chats live but enjoy reading the transcripts and it has helped me understand how the platform is useful.
