Thanksgiving has officially passed, but as we rush into the craziness of the holidays, it’s a great time to reflect on why we’re thankful for the many wonderful QuickBooks Online features. We use QBO in our careers and personal lives all the time! And this, paradoxically, is exactly why it’s easy to forget how much this powerful tool improves our lives.
A recent #QBOchat focused on the features we’re fortunate to enjoy; here are some of the takeaways from our chat session.
QuickBooks Online provides flexibility
Dealing with rigid APIs is beyond frustrating, but QBO has a wonderfully flexible API that makes it simple to connect with many amazing apps. Another flexibility that we love is that users also have the ability to choose a work space, and if unforeseen circumstances arise, QBO affords us the luxury of setting up our office nearly anywhere. We no longer have to work in the client’s office, and we have our own space to connect and live passionately.
QuickBooks Online is welcoming and convenient
Having an open API supports third party app developers, making them part of the family and thereby allowing us the convenience of mobile apps. Even from remote locations, we are able to establish collaborative work environments with our network of trusted advisors, clients and CPAs. We love being able to connect with incredible users, accountants and developers who “geek out” with us weekly on #QBOchat, and we’re thankful for the joy this brings everyone who participates.
QuickBooks Online continues to evolve and improve
QuickBooks Online constantly rolls out improvements, and it just keeps getting better. Just recently, Revel Systems and Intuit created a new POS solution, and in a cloud-based system, we’re privy to the latest and greatest developments. I know most of us are incredibly grateful QBO now has true cash basis reporting rather than A/R, A/P on cash basis. One of our fellow Twitter participants, Mary Longacre (@thinkx2), chimed in about being thankful for the bank feeds making life awesome, and we agree wholeheartedly.
Personally, I am thankful for QBO’s income bar that allows users to effectively drill down sales from estimates to paid invoices, and auto-emailed memorized reports are a beautiful thing. I can practically work in my sleep when going global with country-specific editions, and I’m able to be more collaborative with my clients in a timely manner.
I’m Thankful for our ProAdvisor Partners
Many QBO users are new to accounting, and thanks to QBO ProAdvisors, even newbies receive the help they need to become QuickBooks Online Certified. Now users even receive advanced certifications to indicate level of expertise, and there isn’t any doubt the new QBOA, open apps ecosystem, QuickBooks Online ProAdvisors, and small businesses are the best ever.
The most important part, though? I am grateful and thankful for all of my amazing QuickBooks Online customers. They are the backbone of my business, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So what about you? Why are you thankful for QuickBooks Online? I’d love to hear your feedback!
