We’re Beanworks, we make accounts payable automation simple and delightful, and we were listed in March 2016.

What was the main problem you were trying to solve when you first developed your App?

Most accountants would agree that financial technology has done a good job keeping pace with the needs of accountants. However, the same cannot be said for the tools which serve accounting teams; especially when it comes to accounts payable for teams dealing with multiple entities.

To address this and other shortfalls, the standard solution most companies are unfortunately forced to employ involves patching together disparate softwares each addressing a part of the AP process. For example, an invoice scanning tool which partially connects with a document management system that in turn speaks with a separate software for verifying receivable receipts and so on and so forth. Of course, things get even messier when you involve payments (you know, actually trying to pay those invoices).

That’s why Beanworks was created. Just as Excel is the essential tool for accountants, Beanworks is the essential tool for accounting teams.

Mid-sized companies that are processing hundreds to thousands of invoices monthly who get stuck on payables due to having many people involved in the AP process that are separated by department, company and/or location. Beanworks is the centralized HQ for your team to connect about payables and get them through your workflow simply and delightfully.

These days crowd favourites are: our new mobile app, SmartCoding (our system learning how you code and inputting it for you on future invoices), and virtual credit cards (cash rebates on your payables that make your company money while you take care of AP)!
