Time Tracker by eBillity is a timekeeping and invoicing application built to streamline payroll and accounting. Employees have the freedom to track time from any device, anywhere, with single time entries, multi-timers and weekly timesheets. Our two-way QuickBooks sync helps our customers streamline their accounting and payroll. We’ve been an Intuit ‘Proadvisor Pick’ on apps.intuit.com since 2011.
What was the main problem you were trying to solve when you first developed your App?
Our founders, Douglas Dweck and Murray Hidary are childhood friends – both successful entrepreneurs. Back in 2011, they were both running their own companies and had a shared frustration of manually tracking employee hours for payroll and billing. They’d identified a global problem. Like them, other businesses were facing the same issue – they, too, needed to track employee time and expenses. And so, eBillity was born.
What companies (or users) are the best fit for your App?
Our customers range from sole proprietors to large corporations, but small-to-medium businesses are the majority. While we have customers in a variety of sectors, our four main users are Construction/Contractors, Accountants, Lawyers, and Consultants. Mobile workforces love our product because of the flexibility they have to track time and expenses on the go.

- Mobile time tracking – employees love the freedom to track time from anywhere and upload images of their expenses in a single click.
- Team approvals – Time Tracker’s dashboard makes approving employee time entries simple. Admins can easily make quick changes before approving for billing or payroll.
- 4-click Invoicing – time and expense entries are converted into an invoice in no time, even from your mobile!

How is your App different from your competitors?
We’re not just a time tracking tool. Our customers need to be able to add details — clients, projects and tasks, job codes — and then track time in relation to those details. Our app makes it easier by streamlining time tracking data and simplifying the billing process to make it less time-consuming. We also offer billing features, like expense tracking, online payments, and client portals; as well as optional legal features, like ABA codes, LEDES invoicing and Conflict Checker.

You’ll always start with a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. From there, you can choose from three subscription options: Time Tracker, Time Tracker + Billing, and Time Tracker + Legal.
