Fundera is a marketplace that enables small business owners to discover the best financial solutions for their business—from loans to credit cards to banking. We asked them 8 questions, as a part of our “What Is” blog series, to learn more about their app and their company.
What is your App’s name, what do you do, & when did you get published on Intuit’s Apps.com?
Fundera. Our app currently matches small business owners with their best funding options. We’ve been on Apps.com since March of 2015.
What was the main problem you were trying to solve when you first developed Fundera?
When a small business owner needs financing, whether for cash flow, growth, or something even more specific like equipment–where do they start their search? How do they know where they qualify? How do they know they’re getting a good deal? Instead of hopping between banks and lenders, they can start with Fundera and apply to the industry’s leading financial solution providers in one place.
What companies (or users) are the best fit for Fundera?
Any small business that needs financing or financial advice. We have financing options available through our platform for businesses at all stages and for business owners with a range of credit scores. If a business owner happens to not qualify for the financial product they want, we can help them get there.
Tell us about your users’ top 3 favorite features or benefits of Fundera.

Tell us about your company’s culture and leadership.
Our company was founded by Jared Hecht, who formerly founded GroupMe, which was acquired by Skype and subsequently Microsoft in 2011. The rest of our leadership team is made up of experienced technology leaders coming from places such as the White House, ZocDoc, LivingSocial, Etsy, and American Express.
Our culture is built on our values, which you can read more about here. Understanding our small businesses better is our #1 priority, and we’re a group of humble people that chase big ideas so we can help more of these businesses get the financial options they need to grow. We’re proud to say we’re one of the top 10 fastest growing companies in New York City, and as we grow, we’re looking forward to helping more and more small businesses succeed.
How is Fundera different from your competitors?
Instead of going directly to banks or online lenders, such as Fundbox or BlueVine, when a business needs funding, Fundera lets small business owners shop all of these options in one place. Our platform allows them to compare offers, ensuring that they not only find the best deal, but the best financial solution for their business.
What is the pricing for Fundera?
Free! Always has been, always will be.
