What is your App’s name, what do you do, & when did you get published on Intuit’s Apps.com?

We’re Dryrun – Our mission is to help businesses avoid risks, grow and profit by helping them create easy, visual and intuitive cash flow and sales forecasts to share. We’ve been part of Apps.com since 2016.

Businesses and their financial teams use their real-time business data to know which next-step in their business is the right one. Dryrun’s visual approach to cash flow and sales is useful for owners, bookkeepers and accountants alike. We work to get users going quickly with our software and keep them going by allowing them to build scenarios quickly inside forecasts, and share them just as quickly and securely with their team.

What was the main problem you were trying to solve when you first developed Dryrun?

Heartbreaking statistic: 82% of businesses fail within the first five years, mostly because they run out of cash. These are people with dreams, people with the power to change the local economy for the better. We interact with them every day. They are us.

Tell us about your users’ top 3 favorite features or benefits of Dryrun.

Dryrun makes viewing many possible futures super easy. With business data easily loaded into each scenario, users can anticipate and then avoid nasty surprises and make informed strategic decisions. Picture what your business could do if you could accurately predict the future. When will money be coming and going to your account, and when will your business have revenue to fuel growth and reduce your risk of a shortfall? Dryrun can display all this…and more.

Dryrun saves you time – by streamlining input, modeling what ifs, and communicating what should happen next. Manually or automatically import current data so you can see where the business is headed, fast and flexibly.

Dryrun adds tremendous value to professional packages. Let’s face it. Accountants and bookkeepers love to help clients be successful – and they love the added value that Dryrun brings to clients. Tell us about your company’s culture and leadership.

Our leadership drives our great culture at Dryrun. We’re helpful to each other, our users and our communities. We’re authentic and honest communicators and doers. We’re agile, which means we’re efficient at turning over new ideas, accepting of failure and rewarding of good work. Last of all, we try to have fun while improving business economy and business literacy in over 60 countries.

How is Dryrun different from your competitors?

Automation has its place – but it’s not the gold standard. No user wants ‘yesterday’ to look like ‘tomorrow’, but no other piece of software offers the ability to flexibly model out any ‘what if’ scenario as effectively as Dryrun. These two facts make Dryrun a powerhouse for looking into all possible business futures in a way that is highly meaningful. We combine the ease of automatic updates with unlimited and flexible manual control – designed to model the messy present and future, so your forecasts reflect reality.

It’s the situational ‘what ifs’ that affect the individual…not the broad trends. Too often, users are misdirected into thinking that exploring industry or historical trend lines is the best way to look into their business’ individual future.

Dryrun’s quick learning curve, customizable set-up, highly visual forecasts and easy-to-access help options ensure that you can move quickly toward your goal – checking your cash flow to avoid crunches, safeguarding your business, and expanding your profit margin through realistic sales forecasting.

With a growth-minded bookkeeper or accountant to guide the forecasting inside Dryrun, clients can expect a better day-to-day cash flow landscape, clear goal setting, then a variety of operations plans to strategize next steps from the trenches. there’s a lot of value that he or she can offer to clients by managing and predicting cash flows month by month.
