What is Dryrun?

About DryrunWhat is Dryrun-

Dryrun provides clear and powerful cash flow forecasts.

What is your App’s name, what do you do, & when did you get published on Intuit’s Apps.com?

We’re Dryrun – we help businesses become more successful by helping them forecast their cash flow and sales in a way that is easy, visual and intuitive. We’ve been part of Apps.com since 2016.

Businesses and their financials support team use their real-time business data to know which next-step in their business is the right one. Dryrun’s visual approach to cash flow and sales is useful for owners, bookkeepers and accountants alike. We work to get users going quickly with our software and keep them going by allowing them to build scenarios quickly inside forecasts, and share them just as quickly and securely with their team.

What was the main problem you were trying to solve when you first developed Dryrun?

Non-numbers people, those who often find themselves beset by cash flow highs and lows (woes!) often wind up starting project-based businesses in their area of specialty. The result is while they’re great in their creative and manufacturing areas, they struggle to collate and communicate their financial info in a way that makes sense to them and allows them to grow and profit with minimal risk. Our background is in small businesses such as these, and we built a tool to help people like us.

What companies (or users) are the best fit for Dryrun?

You’ll love Dryrun especially if your business has big bills, big invoices and is always on the hunt for the next deal.
You’ll love us if you have to communicate numbers to non-numbers people.
You’ll also love us if you think that business strategy should be fairly painless, personal, forward-focused, and based on more than intuition.

Dryrun’s sweet spot is for businesses who have about 1M – 10M in annual revenue and who are project-based – manufacturers and creatives, heavy on the construction and design, as well as digital teams of all sorts.

Our other sweet spot is the bookkeepers and accountants who see value in helping grow the advisory/coaching side of their practice.

Tell us about your users’ top 3 favorite features or benefits of Dryrun.

Dryrun makes viewing possible futures super easy. With business data easily loaded into a scenario, users can anticipate and then avoid nasty surprises and make informed strategic decisions. Basically, picture what your business could do if you could accurately predict the future. When will money be coming and going to your account, and when will your business have revenue to fuel growth and reduce your risk of a shortfall? Dryrun can help you with that.

Dryrun saves you time – in input, modeling what ifs, and communicating what should happen next. Manually or automatically import current data so you can see where the business is headed, fast and flexibly.

Accountants and bookkeepers love the added value that Dryrun brings to clients. In an age where robo-bookkeeping is a threat to the industry, Dryrun is the perfect tool for finance professionals to bring GREAT regular value to their clients by monitoring and improving cash flow.

Tell us about your company’s culture and leadership.

Our leadership drives our great culture at Dryrun. We’re helpful to each other, our users and communities. We’re authentic and honest communicators and doers. We’re innovative problem-solvers who can have open and frank discussions about what separates great ideas from bad ones. We’re agile, which means we’re efficient at turning over new ideas, accepting of failure and rewarding of good work. Last of all, we try to have fun while improving business economy and business literacy in over 60 countries.

How is Dryrun different from your competitors?

Nowhere is it true that ‘yesterday’ is going to look like ‘tomorrow’ and no other piece of software offers the ability to flexibly model out any ‘what if’ scenario as effectively as Dryrun. These two facts make Dryrun a powerhouse for looking into all possible business futures in a way that is highly meaningful. We combine the ease of automatic updates with unlimited and flexible manual control – designed to model the messy present and future, so your forecasts reflect reality.

Dryrun’s quick learning curve, customizable set-up, highly visual forecasts and easy-to-access help options ensure that you can move quickly toward your goal – checking your cash flow to avoid crunches, safeguarding your business, and expanding your profit margin through realistic sales forecasting.

With a bookkeeper or accountant to facilitate the modeling, there’s a lot of value that he or she can offer to clients by managing and predicting cash flows month by month.

What is the pricing for Dryrun?

Pricing is subscription-based and covers the cost of feature packages. We’ve tried to price to ensure that we have a business that is sustainable enough to provide first-rate support and development as we continue to grow. Pricing ranges from $29/USD to $87/USD per month; free for certified Dryrun Partners who bring a client on board as a subscriber starting in January 2018.

Does Dryrun have any programs for Quickbooks ProAdvisors?

January 2018 will see us launch of Dryrun‘s Partner channel, featuring training, support, learning opportunities and certification for those individuals who are looking to offer highly valuable insight into their clients’ cash flows by tapping into evidence-based forecasting based on real-time data.
